Ice cream is a favorite food of many preschoolers, and there are lots of fun activities to do with ice cream that are sure to keep them entertained. Here are five ice cream-themed preschool activities that you can use to get your kids excited about learning:
1. Make ice cream sundaes! Simply put some ice cream in a bowl, add some toppings of your choice, and serve. You can also make mason jar sundaes by adding some toppings to a pre-made mason jar ice cream.
2. Make ice cream bars! Start by mixing together some softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Then, add in some chopped nuts or chocolate chips. Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish and freeze for about an hour. Cut into bars and serve.
3. Make ice cream pops! Start by mixing together some softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Then, add in your favorite flavors of ice cream. Pour the mixture into a popsicle mold and freeze for about an hour. Insert a wooden stick into the mixture and twist the lid to create a popped shape.
4. Make ice cream sandwiches! Start by spreading some softened cream cheese on two slices of bread. Add some chopped fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips to one slice and then add the other slice of bread to enclose the filling. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve.5. Make ice cream cake! Start by prepping your favorite cake recipe. Once the cake is baked and cooled, spread a layer of your favorite ice cream on top. Add another layer of ice cream, and then top with another layer of cake. Finally, add some whipped cream, fruit, or nuts to finish.
