Easter games for kids
Easter is a time for family, fun, and games! Parents and guardians can help kids celebrate the holiday by organizing Easter-themed games that are both entertaining and educational.
1. Easter Egg Hunt
One classic Easter game that never goes out of style is the Easter Egg Hunt. Parents and guardians can hide plastic eggs filled with candy, toys, or coins around the garden or house for children to find. To spice things up, families can give each child different colored eggs to find, make a treasure map, or set a time limit.
2. Egg Race
Another fun and easy game to try is the Egg Race. Take a couple of spoons and raw eggs and have kids race to see who can make it to the finish line without dropping their egg. This activity can be done individually or as a relay race.
3. Bunny Hop
For smaller children, the Bunny Hop is a great game. Play some music and have kids hop around like bunnies around the garden or a designated area. Parents and guardians can also create an obstacle course, and the first one to reach the finish line wins.
4. Egg and Spoon Relay
The Egg and Spoon Relay is a variation of the Egg Race. Divide kids into two teams and give them a spoon and egg each. The first player in each team puts the egg on their spoon and races to reach the other side of a designated area, trying not to drop the egg from the spoon. Once they make it, they must hand the spoon and egg to the next player in their team, and the game continues like that.
5. Pin the Tail on the Bunny
Lastly, Pin the Tail on the Bunny combines creativity and movement. All you have to do is cut out a cardboard bunny and attach it to a wall or surface. The kids then take turns trying to pin the tail on the bunny. You could also make it into a contest where the best tail wins a prize.
Easter is a time for lots of fun, and these games will surely keep kids entertained and engaged. Parents and guardians should make sure to supervise the games and make sure that they are age-appropriate. Happy Easter everyone!
