One way to get your students excited for Christmas is to have them participate in Christmas language arts activities. Here are five fun Christmas language arts activities for middle school students to get involved in:

1. Make a Christmas Carol ornament

This is an easy and fun activity that can be done in class or at home. First, students will need some paper plates and markers. Then, have them write the text of a Christmas carol on the plates. Next, have them cut out the pictures of Christmas animals and glue them on the front of the plates. Finally, have them hang the ornaments on the tree!

2. Make a Christmas gift tag

This is another easy and fun activity that can be done in class or at home. First, students will need some paper plates and markers. Then, have them write the text of a Christmas gift on the plates. Next, have them cut out the pictures of Christmas presents and glue them on the front of the plates. Finally, have them hang the tags on the gifts!

3. Write a Christmas letter

This is a great activity for students to get creative with. First, have them write a letter to someone they love (or someone they’re grateful for) about their favorite part of Christmas. Then, have them fill in some fun facts about Christmas and write a brief letter to the person. Last, have them sign their name and send it off!

4. Make a Christmas quilt

This is a great project for students to work on in class or at home. First, they will need some fabric and some batting. Then, they will need to choose a Christmas motif (or create their own!) and start piecing the fabric together. Once the quilt is finished, they can hang it on the wall or give it to a loved one!

5. Make a gingerbread house

This is a fun and easy project that can be done in class or at home. First, students will need some gingerbread ingredients (most of which can be found at the grocery store!) and a baking sheet. Then, they will need to follow the instructions that come with the gingerbread ingredients to create a perfect house!
